Sania next plays Tier 1 Zurich Open

After a first round exit from Kremlin Cup, Sania Mirza will next play the $1.3 million Zurich Open, Hallenstadion WTA tournament starting on Monday.

Currently ranked 29th in the world, Sania Mirza will face a wildcard player Michaella Krajicek of the Netherlands in the opening round of the Zurich Open.

The event is a WTA Tier 1 tournament, which is featuring top players like Justin Henin (1) of Belgium, Svetlana Kuznetova (2) of Russia and Jelena Jankovic (3) of Serbia.

Defending champion Maria Sharapova of Russia has been seeded fourth, while American Serena Williams is ranked seventh in the field of 32.
