Sania Mirza to undergo wrist surgery in Miami, US
[Thu Apr 10, 2008]Indian tennis ace Sania Mirza is struggling with series of injuries since March 2007, when she went through knee surgery. And now when she is struggling with right wrist injury, is set to undergo through wrist surgery in Miami on Thursday.
Along with mother Nasima Mirza and physiotherapist Renuka Pinto, Mirza reached US on Tuesday. In Miami, she will go through surgery by famous hand specialist Dr Badia.
A Globosport press release said, "A recent MRI showed contusion of her lunate bone with some inflammation and a suspected tear in the volar capsule. She is undergoing arthroscopy to repair the capsule and to clean out debris formed from chronic inflammation."
Previously after the knee surgery she was out of action for two months and now this surgery will force her to stay away from court for at least one month.
