Sania defeated 5th seed Penetta to enter 2nd round of Ordina Open

After losing a opening match at DFS Classic, Sania dismissed 5th seeded Flavia Pennetta of Italy in the first round of $175,000 Ordina Open at's-Hertogenbosch, Netherlands. It's her first win after comeback from a wrist injury.

It was expected to be a tough opening match for Sania against world number 23, Flavia Pennetta of Italy. But, Sania defeated her in two straights sets 6-4 6-3 in one hour and 12 minutes. Sania currently is ranked 33rd on WTA charts. For the second round of Ordina Open, Sania will meet the winner between local player Michaella Krajicek and Ai Sugiyama of Japan.
