Sania crashes out of Ordina Open
[Sun Jun 22, 2008]Indian tennis ace Sania Mirza exits from Ordina Open, by going down to Michaella Krajicek of Dutch in two straight sets 2-6 2-6. In the first set Sania struggled a lot to hold on her service. She was broken twice by Krajicek to cover up the first set in barely half an hour. For the second set as well there was no come back fight from Sania and Krajicek won the set in another 25 minutes. With this match, Sania made 0-4 win-loss record against Krajicek. It was again a disappointing build-up match for Sania before Wimbledon.
The other Indian in singles challenge, Rohan Bopanna also bowed out of the tournament by losing to Guillermo Canas of Argentina in second round. However, Mahesh Bhupathi and Leander Paes advanced to the semifinals of men's doubles at Ordina Open. They will next take on to the winners between French pair Florent Serra and Arnaud Clement and the Argentine pair Guillermo Canas and Juan-Martin Del Porto.
