Sania's campaign ended at Wimbledon
[Wed Jul , 23:10:53]Sania Mirza along with her American partner Bethanie Mattek went down to Williams sisters Venus and Serena in their quarterfinal match at Wimbledon. Williams sisters defeated the Indo-American pair in two straight sets 4-6, 3-6.
Mirza-Mattek was seeded 13th, while the American sisters' were seeded 11th. Sania-Bethanie played very well in the first set, but the Williams sisters powerful game and better serves helped them to win the match. The match lasted for 86 minutes.
Sania is already out from the singles and mixed doubles (with Mahesh Bhupathi) events. In both the events she lost in the second round. Reaching quarterfinals of doubles is her best performance at Wimbledon.
