Sania-Suntiha gets wild card entry at Beijing Olympics

Sania Mirza and US-based Indian Sunitha Rao have been given a wild card entry for doubles in Beijing Olympics, by the direct acceptance of the International Tennis Federation (ITF), London. The All India Tennis Association had written to ITF for the direct entry of the duo in the Olympics. Sania is also playing for singles in Olympics.

However, entry of Mahesh Bhupathi and Leander Paes for men's doubles event has also been confirmed by the ITF. Paes-Bhupathi are playing together for the fourth time in the Olympics.

The other pairs at the big event include Rafael Nadal with Tommy Robredo, Roger Federer with Stanislas Wawrinka, and Mario Ancic with Ivan Ljubicic for men's doubles. It also includes the favorite pair Novak Djokovic with Nenad Zimonjic and the defending champions Fernando Gonzalez and Nicolas Massu.
