Yuvraj Singh helped Sania to recover from injury
[Thu Jan 15, 2009]Sania admitted that she had recovered from a 'career threatening' wrist injury with the help of cricketer Yuvraj Singh.
Sania was struggling with her wrist injury from a long time. The injury made her exit from the Beijing Olympics in tears and after that she was not even able to lift a fork for eating. Since then she was visiting hospitals and going through lot of MRIs. An Australian physiotherapist Amir Takla and many others suggested her that a surgery is the only way to get rid of it. But on Yuvraj's recommendation, Sania consulted Jatin Choudhry, who applied a spiral therapy and healed the injury in a very short period of time.
"It is great blessing. I am lucky to find somebody like Jatin. It was almost a desperate time. Then he came and did a miracle," said Sania.
"A lot of people thought that I needed another surgery to heal and that it was the only option. There were countless MRIs and I was running around hospitals. So, it is really miraculous for it to have healed like this.
"He (Yuvraj) said 'why don't you try and give it a shot'. I did not have a choice. He really played a big part (in healing the wrist). It's a Korean Therapy and it worked on me." added Sania.
