Sania-Francesca ousted from Hobart International

Sania Mirza and her Italian partner Francesca Schiavone exits from the doubles event of Hobart International WTA tournament. The went down to a Spanish-Romania pair Parra Santonja and Edina Gallovits in two straight sets 5-7, 1-6 in the quarter-final event of the tournament.

The Indo-Italian pair had two breakpoints but they didn't convert it into a win. However the opponents converted three out of four chances into a win. However, Sania will get 70 ranking points for reaching the quarter finals of the event.

Sania will next play at Australian Open, the first grand slam of the year, which is starting from 19th of January.
