Sania Ousted from BNP Paribas Open
[Mon Mar 16, 2009]Indian tennis ace, Sania Mirza made an early exit from BNP Paribas Open, Indian Wells by going down to World No. 15 Flavia Pennetta of Italy in the second round of women's singles. She is already out from doubles event as she along with Taiwan partner Chia-Jung Chuang lose in the first round.
Pennetta seeded as 12th in the current tournament defeated Mirza in two straight sets 6-3, 6-4 in an hour and 17 minutes battle.
Meanwhile the other Indian, Leander Paes along with Czech partner Lukas Dlouhy has advanced to next level crossing a tough battle of 6-4, 3-6, 10-8 against unseeded pair Jurgen Melzer and Julian Knowle of Austrialia.
