Mirza-Bhupathi loses to Paes-Black in mixed doubles
[Wed Jul , 06:00:30]In a fight between three Indians at Wimbledon, Leander Paes along with his Zimbabwean partner Cara Black took lead over Mahesh Bhupati and Sania Mirza in their third round meet at mixed doubles event. The match lasted in two hour and seven minutes, in which Paes-Black defeated Bhupati-Mirza in three sets 6-2 6-7 (2) 6-3.
Paes-Black seeded top at the tournament, who last year won the US Open mixed doubles title. However, Bhupati-Mirza was seeded 13th. Number of double faults and unforced errors committed by the all Indian pair gave advantage to their opponent who just committed only one double fault. However Sania-Bhupati hit 6 aces to the 3 of their opponent.
Paes-Black now entered to the quarterfinals of mixed doubles event at the tournament.
