Sania enters second round of Auckland Classic

Indian tennis player Sania Mirza starts her 2010 campaign on a winning note as she defeated Swiss teenager Stefanie Voegele 5-7 6-1 7-5 in the first round of Auckland Classic, Auckland, New Zealand. The Swiss player is ranked 75th in world, while Mirza is ranked 57th.

For the second round, Sania is headed to meet Francesca Schiavone from Italy, which is seeded 4th at the event.

However, for doubles, Sania is paired up with Virginia Ruano Pascual from Spain and together they will take on to a pair of Dominika Cibulkova from Slovakia and Yanina Wickmayer from Belgium for the first round match.
