Sania's Marriage in Legal Tangles
[Tue Apr , 03:36:58]The news of Indian tennis ace Sania Mirza to marry Pakistani cricket Shoaib Malik has become a hot topic these days. Not only is every newspaper flashing photos of both the players, but the wedding has become a hot topic for internet surfers too.
Their marriage is scheduled to happen on April 15 and Malik currently is in India staying in Sania's hometown Hyderabad for the wedding. Meanwhile the wedding is caught in legal tangles as Ayesha Siddiqui (an Indian woman) claims that she is the wife of Malik and married to him 8 years back. Ayesha's family has filed a case against Malik claiming "harassment, cheating and criminal intimidation".
Malik on the other hand has been cooperating with the Indian investigating officials. He recently addressed a press conference and in his defense said that he had a Nikah with the girl (Ayesha) over the telephone but never met her. Moreover, he thinks that he has been cheated by the Siddiqui family by showing photos of a different girl and not of Ayesha. The Siddiqui family wants Malik a divorce from Malik and wants him to apologise publicly. However, Malik claims that he was forced by his family for this Nikah over the telephone.
Well, will this entire saga affect the scheduled marriage plan on April 15? In the press conference, Sania-Shoaib said that the wedding will be held as scheduled.
Sania has been part of many controversies. Whether it was regarding her outfit on tennis court, the flag controversy or breaking of engagement with childhood friend Sohrab Mirza. So when she was asked whether she is upset this time too, the Indian tennis ace said "Of course I am upset. But we are happy that we are together".
