Sania exits from Wimbledon

Indian tennis ace Sania Mirza's campaign ends at Wimbledon tournament with her defeat in second round of women's doubles event along with partner Caroline Wozniacki of Denmark. The Indo-Dane pair went down to 11th seed pair of Cara Black from Zimbabwe and Daniela Hantuchova from Slovak in two sets 6-7 (0-7), 3-6 . Earlier Sania exited from singles event going down 4-6, 1-6 to Angelique Kerber of Germany in the first round.

There was more disappointment for India on that day as Mahesh Bhupati along with Liezel Huber of America went down 2-6, 6-3, 3-6 to unseeded Russian pair Dmitry Tursunov and Vera Dushevina in the mixed doubles event. It was surprising to every one because Bhupathi-Huber was seeded 3rd at the event and to win over unseeded pair must have been easy task for them. However he has advanced to third round of men's double for which he has paired up with Max Mirnyi of Belarus.
