Sania slips in the rankings

Sania Mirza has slipped 31 spots to finish on number 167 in the latest ATP rankings. Sania took home the silver medal in the commonwealth games. She lost in the finals to Australia’s Anastasia Rodniova 3-6, 6-2, 6-7(7-3). Despite the good performance, Sania’s ranking still fell.

Sania had once had a high ranking of 27 a few years ago but after being plagued with injury her down ward spiral has continued. Sania has chance to improve her ranking in the upcoming Asian Games where she hopes to take home the gold medal.
